Are you interested in agriculture? Or becoming more informed about growing techniques, whether plant or animal based?
My name is Olivia and my goal is to learn what I need to know now, to apply it later. That shall be the motto, “learning now to apply later”. I am studying agricultural education, with a concentration in animal science, at NC State University.
While aspiring to teach others about agriculture, I am fascinated with the idea of living off the land and producing most of my own food. What is my long term goal, you may ask…well, I’d like to farm.
With that in mind, I will start blogging. I want to use this blog as a sort of log for myself. A log of insightful things that I am learning while in college, and I would like to emphasize what I now learn in theory in order to put it into practice later.
To practice farm. Blog established in 2015. Land Purchased in pictures below March 2016.
"And I have given you land for which you did not labor, and cities that you build not, and now you dwell in them; eating of the vineyards and olive eytzim(trees), which you did not plant."
Joshua 24:13 (RSTNE)
I do not wish to push a certain agenda within agriculture, or to share my entire personal opinion. I simply wish to learn.
For the most up-to-date info about what is happening on my small hobby farm, follow Practice-Farm on Instagram and like the farm's Facebook page. Both can be found on the side bar to the right of this page.
I hope you all enjoy following my many agricultural adventures.
Best Regards,
